Energy Screens

It is becomimg increasingly important for companies to show their commitment and compliance to energy awareness. Promoting this message to employees and visitors can reduce your carbon footprint, and over time, will save your business money.

C-Matic Systems has developed a product to deliver this message in the shape of our Energy Screens application.

Utilising an existing ION Enterprise server, ION and pulse meter installations we can generate automated screens of your energy usage that can be easily interpreted. Information on electricity, water, gas and carbon usage can be shown on both PC monitors and large format plasma / LCD displays. To maximise eco awareness Energy Screens can be installed in receptions, lift lobbies, recreational areas and canteens.

Overview

Selected data is extracted from an existing PowerLogic® ION Enterprise database and written to a summary database for use by the Energy Screens. Up to 20 user defined views can be displayed, ranging from instantaneous site power consumption, to last month’s carbon usage. Historic, real time and predictive daily and weekly usages can be shown. Predictions are based on the present day/week's usage and comparing it to historic data for a similar period.

A basic installation will be a mixture of charts and animations as shown below. The smiley face / red background is one option available to denote performance and compliance. Other options are traffic lights, go/no-go signs or tick/cross.

Data shown, compliance rules, display options, promotional messages and company logo's can be tailored to the customer's requirements.
